3150 Pounds Sterling will allow you to walk into a Divemaster job anywhere in the world.

Start dates are 10th and 25th of each month (there is flexibility with start dates)

A special dive equipment package has been put together for our divemaster interns. As part of your internship program with Island Divers you will receive a Scubapro regulator and buoyancy control device. Scubapro is one of the world’s leading dive equipment manufacturers. You will receive a complete set of dive equipment plus many dive accessories which are essential for the professional divemaster.

:. PADI DIVEMASTER APPLICATION FEES

We will pay your PADI DIVEMASTER APPLICATION FEES which will not only make you a PADI member but you will also receive the PADI Undersea Journal, the international PADI magazine that keeps you up to date with the diving industry worldwide. You will also receive the training bulletin, to keep you abreast of any changes to the PADI dive standards

:. TECHNICAL SERVICE INSTRUCTION

An important part of having a fun and safe dive is reliable, well maintained equipment. At Island Divers we teach you how to maintain and service your dive equipment so that it’s always in the best working order. Doing ongoing service to your equipment means possible early detection of problems with your equipment and safer diving for you and your divers.

:. OXYGEN PROVIDER TRAINING

In the unlikely event of an emergency, the ability to be able to competently handle an emergency can make a huge difference to a person’s outcome. Not only should you be able to administer first aid but you should also know when and how to administer oxygen. Learn the different types of oxygen administration and how to safely use them if the need arises.

:. UNLIMITED DIVES IN PHI PHI MARINE PARK

Improving your diving skills is a crucial part of the divemaster course. You will be able to go on our Phi Phi Marine Park daytrips whenever you are not required to do theory or other internment requirements. Not only will you be able to increase your logged dives but you will be on the boat assisting divemasters and instructors and learning about the logistics of organising a fun and safe day out for our divers, whether they are certified, students or trying diving for the first time.

This part of the divemaster internship on its own is worth almost 1000 pounds!

:. REEF ECOLOGY

At Island Divers we are committed to keeping our reefs and marine life safe. We will teach you all about the underwater environment and how you and your divers can be aware of your surroundings.

By learning about reef ecology you will be better informed about how to we can all work together to conserve the underwater enviroment for future generations.

:. EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE INSTRUCTOR COURSE

This first aid course takes just one day. First aid training is a pre-requisite to Rescue Diver training. Therefore if you do not have proof of a first aid course less than twenty four months old you will need to complete this course.

Your EFR course will consist of independent study, skill development and scenario practice. You will learn CPR, injury first aid and illness first aid. This will make you confident in dealing with both life-threatening and non life-threatening injuries.

:. LIFETIME DISCOUNT

There will be no doubt you will want to visit Phi Phi again in the future. The beauty of the island, the friendliness of the thais and the rich and colourful marine life will draw you back again and again. Whenever you come back to Phi Phi and Island Divers we will give you ten percent off all your future diving and equipment purchases.

:. VISA ASSISTANCE

Once you have paid your deposit we can send you a letter that you take to your Thai consulate and you will receive a twelve month student visa. Alternatively, you can apply for a two month tourist visa (which can be extended by one month once you are in Thailand).

:. ACCOMMODATION

You will receive eight weeks accommodation as part of the Divemaster Internship Program. Your room will be comfortable and clean. You will have fan, shower and toilet and will be within 5 minutes walking distance from the dive centre and the shops, restaurants, bars etc on the island.

Rooms on Phi Phi are not self catering so there will be no kitchen facilities, however it is very cheap to eat out on Phi Phi. A meal is around 2 pounds sterling and there are pancakes, sandwiches, baguettes, pizzas and other snack foods for only 1 pound. And of course the market place has plenty of tasty Thai food although when you get home sick, there Danish, Italian, French, Mexican and many other international restaurants on Phi Phi.

:. PHUKET TRANSFER

Island Divers make it easy for you.

Our Divemaster Internship package includes pick up at Phuket International Airport, transfer to the Phi Phi ferry. If you arrive too late for the ferry your package will also include an over night stay in Phuket town.
