The undersea wonders and the awesome scenery are courtesy of the Phi Phi Islands.
Bida Nok and Bida Nai
Divesite type: Local
Located: 2km south of PP Ley
Time to Site: 30 minutes from Phi Phi Don
Bida Nok and Bida Nai are very similar in its limestone appearance. Bida Nok has a sheltered bay on the south side for safe and easy exits and entry into the water. Bida Nok and Bida Nai are considered one of the top 5 dive sites in Thailand
Topography: Bida Nok depths vary more here with the wall of the “Finger Reef” dropping to 18m-20m. Whilst the small bay slopes down from 4m-12m. Large boulders litter the sea-bed. Fantasy reef on Bida Nai sits at 16-23m. With some short swim throughs in the shallows
Marine-Life: More varied here than Phi Phi Lay with hard corals on the shallower terrain and barrel sponges, sea fans and wire corals at deeper levels. Again there is a good chance of seeing a leopard shark dozing on the sea-bed, black tip reef sharks in the shallows, turtles along the walls and trumpetfish and scorpionfish that feed on the many baitfish.
